![]() Tracey Weigel is a linguist who believes in the power of communication as the key to all relationships. As a keynote speaker, seminar leader, communication consultant and university lecturer for over 10 years, Tracey teaches her audiences how language is impacted by gender, culture and social status. Originally
from Reno, Nevada, Tracey’s family relocated to the Midwest. She fell in love with
Milwaukee and found, at UW–Milwaukee, a university which would
become her ticket to a world of communication. She holds a masters degree in Foreign Languages and Linguistics and a bachelor degree in Adult Education and Educational Studies. She has also worked as an academic coordinator, a freelance interpreter for the deaf and a marriage preparation counselor. In her "spare time", she always wanted to start her own speaking company – so she did! An
avid reader and researcher, Tracey first learned the art of successful
communication from her father, a retired police officer. "He
knew how to talk to people in a way that made them want to open up," she says. "I’ve seen many former gang members
approach my dad and thank him for turning their lives around." Although
the effect of Tracey’s work is not always as dramatic as her
father’s, she also takes great satisfaction in improving people’s
lives. Workshop participants have told her about better communication
with their employees, co-workers, clients, and family. "I
love to hear a client say that what they learned from me
helped them," she says, describing the impact her style and
enthusiasm often has on people. The varied, customized seminars offered by United
Communication Experts reflect Tracey’s positive outlook and desire
to pass on her valuable knowledge in an entertaining style. Her
presentations are educational and
fun… and she promises to speak so that everyone
gets the message! Tracey’s
